**RECENTLY**

 

JULY 2023

  • Charlotte Collins returned to the Texas Shakespeare Festival stage for a one-night only performance on July 19th. Minor edits (and some new jokes) contributed to tighter characterizations, more laughs, and a dash more romance. 

  • Summer 2023 also saw the world premier of Grace's new TYA play, Todrick the Not-So-Terrible, directed by Micah Goodding and performed by the TSF intern acting company.

MARCH 2023

  • "Miss Susie Had a Steamboat: A Goat Scream Sonata" screened at the Houston Comedy Film Festival after being named a finalist for Best Comedy Series Episode and Best Texas Film.

FEBRUARY 2023

  • "Miss Susie Had a Steamboat: A Goat Scream Sonata" screened at the Austin Revolution Film Festival after being nominated for best Texas Produced Script and Best Texas Comedy Short

JULY 2022

  • "Miss Susie Had a Steamboat: A Goat Scream Sonata" was selected to screen at the Deep in the Heart Film Festival in Waco, Texas. 

  • Grace directed a staged reading of Charlotte Collins performed by the acting company at Texas Shakespeare Festival.

MAY 2022

  • "Miss Susie Had a Steamboat: A Goat Scream Sonata" was awarded Outstanding Achievement Award (Web Series & TV Pilot).

JULY 2021

  • The Gnomes of Gnot-a-Hill (written with co-writer DJ Canaday) ran as the TYA production as part of the Texas Shakespeare Festival repertory season, performed by the TSF intern acting company and directed by Michael Jenkinson. 

DECEMBER 2020

  • Madame V, a new musical with book by Grace Abele, lyrics by Eileen Laphen, and music by Irene Molloy Clancy, was named as a semifinalist in the 2021 National Musical Theater Conference.

JULY 2019

  • The Girl Who Cried Throgmonster ran as the TYA production as part of the Texas Shakespeare Festival repertory season, performed by the TSF intern acting company and directed by Grace Abele. 

JULY 2018

  • The Lovely Stepsister ran as the TYA production as part of the Texas Shakespeare Festival repertory season, performed by the TSF intern acting company and directed by Grace Abele.
